Our Imperfect World
We live in an imperfect world. There is not one part of creation and the world of men that is not affected or contaminated with sin.
Even those who do not have a deep relationship with God can see that our world needs an overhaul. The news can be so depressing and discouraging that MANY people no longer watch or read the news anymore.
The vast majority of people in America are struggling just to get through life and make sense of the world around us. Who can blame anyone for being discouraged in an environment where threats of every kind seem to be everywhere.
There is a growing sense of darkness going on in the world that so many struggle to find peace with. No matter how much money we have or things we buy, there is a growing sense of uneasiness that seems universal in our world.
Our bodies, our finances, our country, our government, our families … all are riddled with imperfections. There are so many things we can all point to that are flawed and disheartening. None of us need help in seeing reasons to become discouraged if we want to.
More than ever I hear the voice of the Spirit of God calling HIS people to walk in that which is perfect. While we may not know all doctrines and may not understand all mysteries, we can STILL walk in that which is perfect before our Holy God.
Consider that HE gives us “perfect peace” to enjoy and walk in while we live here in this world filled with imperfections.
Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
This is the peace that “passes all understanding” which only God by Jesus Christ can give us.
Consider that we are able to present HIM with perfect praise. This is so encouraging to me because so often we only see our imperfections but the bible teaches us that we can offer “perfected praise” before the throne of God even though we struggle to be perfect in other areas.
Matthew 21:16 “And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?”
If you have eyes and ears to see and hear, you can find the perfect things still in the world and brought forth by a perfect God who loves us … perfectly.
- When we come together and praise HIM with all our hearts … that’s perfect.
- When we take the time to show kindness to another … that’s perfect.
- When we encourage one another to be filled with HIM and HIS SPIRIT … that’s perfect.
- When we run to the hurting to help in time of need … that’s perfect.
- When we walk in HIS PERFECT LOVE and cast out fear wherever we go … that’s as perfect as it gets.
Don’t believe the bad news … believe the GOOD NEWS.
Jesus came to redeem us and clean us of all sin and bring us into perfection … into faith that moves mountains, hope that never fails … and Perfect Love that casts out all fear.
