The bible teaches us clearly that we are all in need of encouragement. This is not a “one time” need in our lives but a perpetual need that must be met on an ongoing basis in order for us to be successful in our walk with the LORD.
As Christians, we are increasingly more persecuted, shunned, outcast, and even hated in the world around us for our belief in Jesus Christ. As the day of the LORD draws near, we are all called to stand together in faith.
Hebrews 10:25 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.”
This scriptural encouragement is not optional. We need to gather. The question is WHY.
Why We gather.
We are called to gather together, not just for the sake of having a meeting but with a specific purpose in mind. The purpose is the ENCOURAGE one another according to the word of God. Our ministry focuses on this point because we know how critical encouragement is to the success of every believer no matter how long they have been walking with the LORD.
Whether we’re talking to a new believer or a seasoned believer of 20 years, we all need encouragement and support from our brothers and sisters as we grow in the things of God. Encouragement Church is committed to delivering that encouragement in every way we can. From our preaching style to our small groups, everything we do is geared to help encourage each person to continue to press forward in God.
Jesus asks us to walk the narrow road and this is not always easy in our world. That’s why we all need encouragement and one another.
If we are going to be a successful believer in bringing fruit of new lives and changed lives into the Kingdom, we have to be encouraged and strengthened along the way.
